HOLLY’S HARP SKIRT

Holly Harp was a fashion designer based in Los Angeles in the 60ies and 70ies. I bought this elaborate, magnificent skirt in 1973 in her Sunset Blvd. shop. I don’t know what I was thinking at the time because I wore the skirt three times and it has been in a closet ever since. It is not a California piece of clothing. I was going to say, it is in excellent condition, but while putting it on, I noticed a couple of moths holes. They do not show at all when the skirt is on. See pictures. I now added lavender moth repellent in the skirt bag. It is exceptionally well-made, hand finished . Note the seams covered with lace for the finish. One thing to be aware of, this skirt is for someone who has a small waist. Also, the elastic has gotten loose and will have to be replaced. I can’t believe that in a year, it will be 50 years old. From what I understand it has now become a collector’s item.
