lssoblessed @jillc420, well based on internet info, druzy is a set of crystals of minerals that form on the surface of rocks. It appears that the back of this pendant is the back of the rock, polished smooth. I hope that helps. Thx!🤗🤗

I believe you,no doubt you're right but it doesn't look like the top & bottom would be such a stark contrast. Of course the minerals are forming on top of the crystals & white crystals range from opaque to clear so it makes sense. thank you

lssoblessed @jillc420, yes there can be a big color difference between the druzy and the rock on which it forms. The color of the druzy depends on the minerals forming the crystals, and the rock can be any color but won't take on the same color as the druzy. Thanks for the questions; I learned a lot!🤗🤗🤗

jillc420 @lssoblessed Well our druzys or druzies formed in an area that has a high red clay soil content. I know that color anywhere. Here in NC we call our clay Carolina red & it's an absolute nightmare gardening but if I wanted to start a brick making company, all I have to do is purchase the equipment because I've got the clay! I don't know why it didn't hot me before now my druzies grew in a high red clay area. Thanks for tapping the light on in my bulb!
