🎉HP! Vintage Victor Costa Prom Dress (1988!) with Polka Dots and Rhinestones

🥳 𝐻𝑜𝑠𝑡 𝑃𝑖𝑐𝑘 | 💮 This was my prom dress in 1988, and they literally don't make them like this anymore! The dress features a sweetheart neckline, *gigantic* pouf shoulders and a knee-length pouf skirt, all filled with tulle for extra buoyance and pure fabulosity. Two different sizes of polka dots, and the satin on the skirt is treated to look like watered silk. Bodice is fully boned and the back is low but not so low that a longline strapless bra won’t go under it. I think it is a 1980s juniors size 8 or 10, but the measurements might have been customized. It has Chanel-style camellia floral detail on the neckline made of contrasting white satin and the black satin of the skirt—but this is a tribute to the great Christian Lacroix, darlings.
