Could you tell me if you use anything scented in your inventory room? Or if your household uses scented laundry products? Do you to autoimmune disease, I am unable to tolerate ANY perfume/fragrance/scent/odor. Therefore, I can only have clothing that has been laundered, or stored with clothing, using free and clear products.

@nmala661 I have a separate bedroom I use for my boutique items. As soon as they arrive I put them in the bedroom. I, myself do not use scent free products. I don’t know if there is a way they could be cross-contaminated? Nothing has been washed, it is shipped out like I received it.

@jettiepearls crap. For the average person it wouldn’t be an issue. For many of us with chronic illness, it is. Especially me. I can smell what no one else can. Most materials(natural fibers, plastic, cardboard, etc) do absorb scented products.
I guess I should have started with this question before getting so excited. I’m sorry. I will have to pass. 😩

Measure for you. I don’t see how the top in plastic could be contaminated in any way. If there was a smell to it, wouldn’t you have it dry cleaned? I’m guessing you do so for items you purchase at a department store? Hope this helps, and sorry you have to suffer, I know it must be hard. 😔

@jettiepearls for those of us with multiple chemical sensitivity, dry cleaning is a big no no. Being that it isn’t an issue for you, you can’t really understand the severity of it. 3 days is plenty of time for the plastic, or the fibers to absorb any perfume or scent.
Perfumes, and especially laundry detergent/fabric softener fragrances are the worst for me.
Anyway. It was just a last thought. Thanks for your time.
