pocketsrock do these have any weight to them?

hooplatif @pocketsrock They’re all a little bit different weights depending on how many layers of tape they have. I use 3/4” HDPE tubing 60 PSI. So I can make your hoop whatever weight you prefer. A bare hoop with one layer of cross crossed tape weighs under 1lb but a fully taped hoop where I layer the tape can weigh 1.5lbs.

hooplatif @pocketsrock So I can really make it as heavy or light as you’d like. However, it is not recommend to hoop with a hula hoop over 2lbs because it can cause severe damage to your back. Please reach out if I may answer any other questions for you. ☺️

pocketsrock
pocketsrock @hooplatif that's perfect!! I was always kind of good at hooping and recently I have gained a few pounds- all at my belly. I was just talking to a friend about buying a REAL hoop. I love blues and greens, but I don't have a huge preference for the color. When you say size, what does that mean? I'm about 5 ft 6 and a little thick... does that help determine size?

hooplatif @pocketsrock The larger the hoop (in diameter), the easier it is to learn on. Reason being: the hoop rotates at a slower rate, giving your brain time to process how your body is moving and what it’s doing. I like to start beginners out on a hoop somewhere between 38”-42”. And as you get better, you can downsize.

pocketsrock @hooplatif I'm not a total novice but this will be my first weighted hoop. Maybe I can do 36? Let's make this an official order! :)

birchett
birchett Hello I’m interested in a hoop what size do you recommend for a beginner and what colors do you have available??
Jun 28Reply
hooplatif
hooplatif @birchett I’d say a 40-42” is best!! Bigger is always best when a beginner. Are you looking to use it mostly for aerobics or to do tricks, or both?? 💛😘
Jun 28Reply
birchett
birchett @hooplatif mostly aerobics but I would also like to gradually learn tricks/dance

samanimmmal
samanimmmal Hello, I wanted to see about buying a hoop from you. I’d like for it to be 36”, purple and pink and I really dig that pink zebra print pictured above. Am I missing anything else you would need to know? And safe to assume that once you confirm all good I can go ahead and make the purchase?

nataliesemaan86
nataliesemaan86 Hello, im new the the hula hoop. Im looking to learn and use it to dance. Is there a size and weight you would recommend? Im thinking something on the lighter side and not too large, I’m 5’6 medium built. I also like the design in the 13th picture you posted with the pink and purple.
