Halcyon Days Enamels Pedestal World Terrestrial Globe Miniture Desk Clock

An exquisite decorative World Terrestrial Globe on a Pedestal. This piece has a hinged cover that opens to reveal a fitted internal quartz clock. A beautiful desk accessory. Halcyon Days Enamels are direct descendants of the rare and beautiful enamels of the 18th century England. Enameling is an age-old art form present in the UK since the 1740s. These beautiful pieces are made from Enamel and Copper using traditional craft techniques, hand crafted and manufactured in England. This particular piece is in beautiful condition. The clock will need a battery. Has Compass print around the clock as decoration only. The gold trim does show some wear (could use a polishing) no dents or damage just not as shinny as it could be. Globe image inside lid. The piece measures approx 3 3/4" in tall and 2 1/4" in diameter. Made in Bilston, England. Excellent condition, no chips, scratches etc. Comes with original storage box. The storage box looks to be in great shape as well with normal wear. Close up photo of battery compartment to show no corrosion. The prior battery is left in place.
