@dome hi! I would say it leans more towards a wine purplish however it is so stunning! In the sunlight it’s has a brownish tone but can’t say it is a brown color. I just added a picture of halstons sizing to the listing so you can reference that. It has not been altered and I would say it runs large so you can always take it in
