Hand Embroidered Huipil Flower Top Mexican Guatemalan, L/XL

Gorgeous hand embroidered Huipil top. Vintage/Antique, purchased in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico at upscale shop. Rainbow colors of flowers, animals, zigzag designs on a red and black striped heavy fabric background. The embroidered collar is split open at the top of the shoulder with a hand stitched edge -so it can go over the head (see pic). I love it but it doesn’t fit. Size: XL. It’s basically a rectangle: 2’6” across x 2’3” tall. The neck is 6” with and 8” opening (I considered cutting the embroidered collar off and giving it a more open “square” neckline, which would also fit with the classic Huipil designs). The arm openings are only 6” but can very easily be opened up to as large as feels comfortable.
