My mother knits these bears for young girls in Africa. The girls do not have sufficient sanitary products for their monthly menstrual cycle so for 5-7 days they have to stay home from school. We take for granted the things that we will not do without not realizing some people have no way of getting the things that are so available to us. The full $13 goes to the charity.

erin313 Hi, you just purchased a bag from me. I saw this post and wanted to recommend the Diva Cup for the women in Africa. It is really helping third world countries and their women bc it's not disposable. Check out this article: http://m.huffpost.com/ca/entry/6313436 I use one too. Just thought I'd pass it along. Maybe the money can go towards these cups. I do a lot of charity work as well. Many blessings to you and your mom for helping them! 💗

kloudy3 Thanks for the info @erin313 I will check out the project and find out what we need to do to help out. She has had such a great response from her teddies! I have to start posting the pics of people with the bears the are so adorable. Young and old. And some of the young ladies in Africa that receive the donations have bears too. It starts with the simple things. 💞
