This is Danaï which item did you cancel? Thx. Saves me from going all the way back. Thx again.

I believe this is hand painted on silk. It does not look woven as a tapestry is. :-) (lived over there awhile)

Hi again, looking closer, it is also not a Thai painting, unless a knockoff. Did you buy there? I’m pretty sure this is Indian, unless you have a date for it.

@danailamb Hi Danai, it was the black long sleeved top with white embroidered sleeves from Loft. Sorry again, I posted this a couple years ago and have moved since then so I just don’t know where it went. You should be refunded automatically.

@danailamb Regarding the tapestry, it is hand painted on what appears to be cotton. I believe authentic batiks use overlaid wax and dye. I purchased it from the market in Bangkok listed in the description so I assume it was produced in Thailand. Hindu is a minority religion there, with some Buddhist temples repurposed from Hindu. Fun facts! Anyway, I decided to hold on to it, looks good hanging in my stairway at the moment. 😁

Thanks for answering. Surprised it wasn’t silk, and i’ m glad you kept it. It’s not unusual for depictions of Indian subjects are painted and sold elsewhere. I’m an art historian in the field. :-) it ‘em would be worth more if you found the provenance.
I liked it? I knew it wasn’t for sale, but had to comment bc I don’t see this sort of art for sale in Poshmark! This might be worthy of framing in style for textiles, meaning they need air, but not complete exposure
