Hand painted with earth pigments, Gaia Conceptions skirt

This skirt is new. I painted it with earth pigments. It is an original piece of art. The skirt was handmade in North Carolina and is considered slow fashion. Color is natural muslin. The hem folds down and over. This could also be worn as a shorter dress with the hem up and across the bust, so it is versatile. I really enjoyed creating this wearable art! Very eco and earthy! Care: Physically hand wash in a sink or basin with cold water using a ph neutral or mild soap, such as Dr. Bronners. I highly suggest an eco soap so less chance of synthetic ingredients damaging the earth pigments. Do not let it soak for hours to prevent bleeding of the pigment color. Gently wring, then roll in a towel and press gently to remove excess water. Hang to dry Tip: Don't to forget to make sure your sink wasn't just cleaned with bleach based or a chemical cleaner. Wash and the rinse the sink really with eco soap before cleaning the skirt.
