Handcrafted Corvette fordite pendant necklace, set in sterling silver

This Corvette fordite, pre 2010, pendant necklace is handcrafted and set in sterling silver. It also comes with a 18 inch sterling silver chain. What is Fordite? Here's the story behind it. Years ago at a Ford plant, as the cars were painted, the overspray would build up on the racks and shelves in the paint booth. Eventually it was removed and a some employees brought some of that home and polished it up in much smaller pieces. Then others discovered it and started started creating things with it. That's where fordite got it's name. It's a general term for what it is and the name stuck. Fordite from back then is extremely hard to come by. Jeeps, cars, and trucks are still painted at the assembly plants and off site companies that also paint parts for them. These are some of the pieces I have handcrafted, the fordite I use is mostly Jeep Wrangler. It takes hours to just cut and polish every piece I use to turn into a work of art, to wear and enjoy. I never know what colors/pattern will appear since there's multiple layers of different colors of paint. I also hand forge all of my jewelry pieces, so every one is one-of-kind.
