These belts have been handwoven by women in Nagaland, in the far north eastern part of India, bordered by Myanmar, Bhutan, Bangladesh and China. The designs vary from tribe to tribe and we have asked our beautiful weavers to help adapt their designs into our belts. The weaving is all done by talented women on simple backstrap looms.
