Handmade Crocheted Hat

This hand-crocheted hat is made with a beautiful variegated soft wool that ranges from a lime green to brown to turquoise and back again. If you look at the various photos, you can see how the hat looks in different lights, as well as from different sides. It's about 9 1/2 inches long so it can be worn loose and slouchy or with a small cuff as a beanie. The pompom is a a chocolate brown 100% wool. It's soft and stretchy so it will fit most adult heads. The hat is hand-washable and air-dryable. I tried machine washing on cold/delicate in a lingerie bag and it changed the texture of the yarn a bit. I'd only do this as a last resort! I'd recommend turning the hat inside out before any kind of washing/drying. As you can see, I carried the hat around to multiple locations outside to show its colors and the way they shift with the light. I live in Georgia along the coast so our hat-wearing season is short--but I love making hats!
