Handmade Denim Purse Macrame Strap Vintage Fabrics

A completely one of a kind, made up as I went along shoulder bag from vintage fabrics, macrame belt and upcycled denim jeans. Colorful vintage fabric patches in plaid and floral patterns have been hand stitched with different types of embroidery, including sashiko style onto an upcycled pair of jeans. The jeans could not be saved for their original use, so I created this totally unique purse with wonderful colors all on a muted and perfectly faded denim background. The flap closure stays in place with a small rectangle of hook and loop, and the lined interior of the purse features a patch pocket to help keep smaller items organized. The best part is the shoulder strap made from a vintage macrame rope belt with the fringe intact! Such a cool accent! Measures approximately: 11 inches by 11 inches and the strap is 15 inches long My most favorite thing to do is to remake cast-off items into something new and fun to use. I have been reworking garments and using vintage fabrics in my clothing creations for many, many years. I work hard to hunt down materials, find the cast-off clothing (some old, some new but unwanted), clean, and repair all items before recreating them. You will find only completely unique pieces in my shop because everything is made as I go, using things up and keeping them out of the landfills.
