Handmade Dichroic Jewelry Patterned Fused Glass Pendant.

Fused Glass Pendant. Handmade Dichroic Jewelry. This pendant has incredible depth and texture. Made with multiple layers of dichroic glass. This piece has shades of light green, teal, purple and a silvery blue on a black base. The glass measures 40 mm x 26 mm. Total length with bail just under 2 in. Finished with a silver-plated bail, comes on an 18 inch adjustable rubber necklace w lobster claw clasp. This piece was entirely hand crafted by me in my home studio! The glass cabochons are made by carefully layering dichroic glass bits. The piece is then placed in a kiln and fired the piece is cooled more dichroic is added and the piece is re-fired. Most pieces are fired multiple times for incredible depth and color play (unless a special technique or otherwise described). When I’m happy with the piece it is then shaped with lapidary equipment, placed back in the kiln to polish the edge and anneal the piece for extra strength. Signed Patricia L Johnson.
