Handmade Messy Bun Beanie

This bun/ponytail beanie is hand crocheted in a shell pattern with an opening to pull your hair through. The yarn is imported 100% super-wash wool in a turquoise tweed color that looks like faded denim. As you can see, I carried the hat around to multiple locations outside so you could see the changes in color in different light. In addition to trying it out on my niece, I have my garden goddess and various plants modeling the hat for me! :) This hand-made medium weight beanie is soft and stretchy enough to fit a fairly big-headed adult. (I know, I tried it!) It can also be cuffed for a tighter fit around your head. It's hand-washable and air-dryable. You can also machine-wash on delicate/cold and machine dry on low/delicate, but it will change the texture a little and tighten the weave. I'd suggest using a lingerie bag if you decide to machine wash.
