Handmade Original Mayan -Aztec Ceremonial Jaguar Clay Whistle (1) The whistle is hand sculpted from black clay and then fired in an open pit. Decorated with colored clay and different semi-precious stones and quartz. Each one makes a slightly different sound. The sound depends on how you blow into it and as you press your hand over it imitating the roar of a jaguar, Quetzalcoatl, or and eerie wail. The whistle was used by the Mayans, Aztecs, and Incas, often shaped like birds or animals. Each whistle is skillfully handmade so there are individual variations. These are beautiful as a decoration or functional piece.
