Did you make this? I work jn a NICU and we use something like this daily to cover our babies Isolettes. But groups of ladies donate them because the county hospital can’t afford to buy them.☹️ beautiful!!

@sdwatkins13 no, I sure didn't but would to learn! I looove handmade items and saw this and had to get it.
what types of blankets are you looking for? I'd like to see what you need. Maybe I can donate some as I come across them :)

@fablespocket have you ever seen an Isolette, we cover the tops w the blanket/quilts you create the darkest environment possible for our preemies….

@sdwatkins13 Oh wow, I had to look it up. I was unfamiliar with the terminology. That's amazing. I have a few people I know who have preemies and didn't know they used these. I'm so interested now. Gosh, that is a big gap the cities could close. Thrifting and items that have been donated, could be sent to hospitals for this. I am guessing you dont live near me (colorado springs). But I would love to look into helping our local hospitals. This is something you could put out on nextdoor

and other local pages to ask for donations to help the hospital. A lot of folks just arents aware of these needs. But resellers, thrifters, volunteers etc all will have people who would definitely want to help in this regard.

I will definitely take a look around here and see what I can do to help create a connection. If people knew the needs of others in the city and where and how to help, it would be so much easier. There are people who want to help for sure out there. Myself included. Thanks so much for letting me know about this.

A lot of handmade items are only a few dollars. I will be looking at doing this from some of my proceeds going forward. Buying and donating. love this so much. <3 I would definitely take a look out there on local sites and put it out there!

Although, I'm not sure what conditions apply. New vs older vintage pieces like these. and how to clean and sanitize them, etc.
