Handmade Zimmerman Glass Candlestick Holders

A set of handmade Zimmerman glass candlestick holders. Each piece is hand signed “Bart Zimmerman 1992” to the base. (Bart Zimmerman October 9, 1958- August 4, 2008) Mr. Zimmerman came from a long line of Alsatian glassmakers. His grandfather, Frederick, came to America from Alsace-Lorraine with his belongings in a small chest strapped to his back. He became an expert glass presser with a firm in Pittsburgh. His father, Victor, worked in glass factories in various states, ending up in Indiana at the old Enterprise glass plant in Corydon. Zimmerman paperweights and art glass are included in the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, the United Nations in New York and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington. Each candlestick holder measures 3 inches in diameter and stands 2 5/8 inches tall. Dated 1992
