Handmade rag quilt, approximately 38”x38”. Strips of pretty pink with polka dots and gray with owls. Two layers of soft 100% cotton flannel, sewn together with seams exposed and snipped to allow for the pretty, fluffy fray after laundering. Handmade by me in my smoke free home. New. Washed once to start the ragging process.

kaelamcguire21 Well... I would like coordinating blankets for my son and niece in this stripe pattern however with a bound edge. I would like my nieces to use fabric 16055709 (Minnie mouse fabric) and 17186164 (stars). I would like my sons to use fabric 16055741 (mickie mouse) and 17186164 (stars). If there is enough of the star fabric maybe a throw pillow for each of them.

snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 I have some black 100% cotton (not flannel) with white dots that would make a cute binding for both of those if you would like that. For your throw pillows, what sizes, and do you want the ruffle, and solid or stars for the ruffle?

kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches size approximately 40” wide by 48”long. I think I would like the star fabric as binding. For the pillows I would like the ruffle. I like how you add on the ruffle.

snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 ok. So it looks like with 40”x48” we would want to do 4 mickie/Minnie strips and 4 star strips at about 6” wide strips. I will orient the strips horizontally because that would look better than vertically. That fabric costs a lot more than what I paid for the owls and polka dots though, so it would be $250 for the 2 quilts and 2 star pillows.

snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 If you are good with that price, let me know, and I will go ahead and order the fabrics. It may workout that by the time they arrive, I will be done or almost with the two ahead of this one and can go ahead and start working on it. I should be able to finish them within a week once I start working on them.

kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches oh wow that is a lot more. How much would it be if we just do the blanket and no pillows this time?

snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 The star fabric with the extra yardage for the pillows was a big part of the costs. So, I would take it down to $190 for just the 2 quilts.

kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches yeah I didn’t realize how expensive the star fabric was but I think it looks great with the mickeys. I think we are good to go on just the blankets this time. They will be beautiful.

snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 sounds good. I have the fabric ordered. I had to do store pickup on the stars. They have cancelled a few store pickup orders on me recently due to not having the stock correct on line. If they cancel this one on me, I will search for a comparable star fabric and reduce the price accordingly if I am unable to find another glow in the dark stars.

kaelamcguire21 @snugglestitches if they don’t have the star fabric let me know. We had another fabric we liked. It took us forever to pick that fabric. I guess we are a little picky. Sorry.

snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 definitely. I will let you know if the store cancels the order for the star fabric. It took them about a week to cancel it the first time... Also, finished one of the olive pillow cases, second one will be finished tomorrow. And the Dino upholstery fabric came today so will probably finish those tomorrow too. I posted pictures on the listing for your pillows. May have those ready to go for sale on Thursday morning.

snugglestitches @kaelamcguire21 just realized that sounded bad. The “definitely” was not at you being picky but at I will “definitely” tell you ASAP if the star fabric order gets cancelled. I would want it to be exactly like I liked it too if I was ordering custom made items. Maybe after all this madness settles, if you want to work with me on future projects it won’t be such a hassle for me to get stuff
