This is a handmade Pyrex keychain made by me. The blue center is made of glass from a Pyrex Primary blue 401 mixing bowl. The white backing is solid wood painted white with an alloy steel snowflake embellishment. Pyrex Primary Colors mixing bowls were produced between 1945-1968. This set marked the first time Corning sold opal glass in the consumer market using the Pyrex brand name and included items in blue, red, green and yellow. Dr. Lucy M. Malibu, Corning’s Director of Home Economics, selected the colors based on results from a McCall’s interior design survey.
