Vintage midcentury earrings in a clip style by one of Norway's best enamel artists. He typically used organic shapes of leaves and flowers in graceful shapes. His mark is on these is the anchor. The metal is sterling with a gold wash then the gorgeous enamel in white. It is hard to believe these are from the 1950s.
Hans Myhre was a Norwegian jewelry artist who used an anchor as his hallmark. His pieces are primarily guilloche enamel with sterling silver and gold wash. During the 1950s he expanded his business by purchasing 2 other jewelers, Hroar Prydz and Bernhard Meldahl. Since that time, David Andersen has purchased all the Myhre lines.
I sell vintage, antique and occasionally new old stock but usually objects that have been used. This means it is normal to have signs of use with dings, some fading, small chips and in general marks of having been in use. I try to highlight anything significant and only purchase or sell items with very light use. Often the age marks add to the beauty and mellow the pieces. I only sell items I love and take pride in them. Ask questions! I am happy to answer them and if I have made an error please let me know. Thank you for exploring my shop!
