(Although, my dad did take me to see the balloons get inflated the night before the parade, when it wasn't a "thing" & there were only about a dozen people and us. He knew all the coolest, most magical NYC stuff.) The pic is from 1988, by the great Magnum photographer, Elliott Erwitt. ♥︎ I should've put a photo credit!
