Harry Belafonte-Both Carnegie Hall Live Shows

These albums are the only live on stage recordings of Belafonte's 2 sold out performances at Carnegie Hall. Great examples of his talent, versatility, humor and passion. Also a great example of the history of Black Music from African American Folk, Caribean, Pop, etc. The 1st is 1959 RCA solo album with 2 records- great example of his great audience interaction (especially "Matilda"), with lots of his other classic hits, a huge success. The 2nd-(Return by popular demand). A 1960 RCA Release also is 2 records. Includes guests - Odetta & Miriam Mekeba & Chad Mitchell Trio. Has the only and best live recording of classic rendition of "Hole in the Bucket" by him & Odetta. Cover is worn, but totally in tact. Both have some classic American Negro Folk songs like "John Henry" &" Take My Mother Home". These 2 albums together are all anyone needs to appreciate Belafonte at his best and most versatile.
