ethelmethyl I see the size you post here, and you look GORGEOUS in it, but when I tried on (/bought) my first dress during my almost-but-thank-god-wasn’t wedding, I was wearing a 2 in street clothes but needed a 10 in whatever David’s bridal nonsense I ended up in (NOT that anyone cares what’s written on that tag). But just for reference when seeking on here… I’ve been under the impression that my now-size-4 self would need like a 12? Is there a formula for it or no replacing the fitting?

kelseycarpy @ethelmethyl so glad you asked and I am so sorry I’m just seeing this! I worked in bridal for almost 10 years! You typically have to go up 2 to 3 sizes from your typical dress size in bridal. It sucks I know! I was probably an 8/10 when I got married and maybe a 12 when shopping for it. I purchased the bridal size 16 then had it altered down when it came in. I hope this helps!
