Moss Agate, known as Mocha Stone unlike its name, is not actually an Agate at all, rather it is a Chalcedony with dendritic inclusions. Moss Agate formed from the weathering of strong volcanic rock. The deep colors and vibrant patterns are simply due to different levels of oxidation of the crystals within. These colors are most notably green or brown, but can also be seen as yellow, red, and black. Moss Agate encourages self expression and a rebuilding of divine connection to nature that most of our childhoods were consumed with.
