Finished quilt is 30 40 Kit contains 270 squares Use 3/8" seam allowance. Arrange one half of your squan's a random on your design wall. This is the front of your quilt. You may choose to match the back squares or just pull from the stack at random for the back squares. Put two squares wrong sides together so the 'sauggly" sides are out. All of your seams are on the front of the quilt. You will have a row of 11 squares across and 12 rows down. Sew 11 squares together to form each row across. Then sew these 12 rows together to form quilt top. Be sure all seams are on the top of your quilt. When joining rows, fingerpress seams open and stitch across. Stitch 1/2" around outside edge on all four sides. To create fringe, clip all seams at 1/4" apart, taking care not to clip into stitching lines. Clip as close as you can to the stitching line when clipping parallel to a sewn seam (corners of squares). I use Fiskars craft scissors # 9931 for clipping. They are spring loaded, have padded handles and a short sturdy blade with a blunt tip. Wash and dry. If you shake the excess threads off before putting the quilt in the dryer, it will fray better, not overload your lint trap and dry faster. You may prefer to do this outside and to use a fabric softener or dryer sheet.
