Heavy macrame knit button top cardi sweater maybe crocheted?

This is very heavy, look at the close ups, it’s made from mercerized cotton. No producer label no size label, but it has a transparent content label, so it’s unlikely to be vintage. Probably suited best for petite people, otherwise it’s crop top length. Definitely has a 50’s look. (looks much better on a human than on the mannequin) this would be great as a maternity cardigan, or for apple shaped folks! it has lots of room around the hem.
