"Violet" has violets and green leaves. This was produced starting in 1958 and is discontinued. The Heinrich & Co. mark was used from 1939 - 1999.
Franz Heinrich started his porcelain painting business in Bavarian Selb in 1896. He constructed a muffle kiln in his parent's house. Initially just one female worker was helping him. Five years later in 1901 he started producing own whiteware. Porzellanfabrik Heinrich Selb became one of the largest porcelain producers in Germany. Franz Heinrich died in 1928. In 1929 Heinrich & Co took over another Selb factory, Gräf & Krippner. In 1930s there were 500 employees in the Heinrich factory. In 1945 the company ably resumed production. In 1970s employment rose to 800. In 1976 Heinrich Porzellan GmbH became a part of Villeroy & Boch.
The other mark is Zeh, Ebeling & Reuss Co. was established by the German emigrants Theodore Ebeling and Frederick Reuss. This mark was used between 1921-1950s. The company imported porcelain, earthenware, and ironstone from several Bohemian, Czechoslovakian factories and other European countries including dinnerware, decroations, and gift items. Zeh withdrew from the company in 1900. They became a major supplier of porcelain figures and teapots. The company’s import volume peaked in the 1940s/50s.They closed in 2002.
