Made and purchased in Mexico, this vintage necklace features a rope-textured thread that runs through the Byzantine link design. At 28 inches (excluding clasp), the necklace is very heavy. Its real value comes from the stamped letters and numbers on the clasp: "TO-67 Mexico" and "925". "T" indicates it was made in Taxco. "O" is the first letter of the last name of the artist. "67" is the registration number of the artist. And “925" indicates the fineness of the silver, which can be very shiny, if you like; it's shown here with a slight patina, which develops beautifully. Hello! Forgive my delayed response: work! Thank you for your interest in the silver necklace. Please see the photos I posted that will convey its thickness. A jeweler once appraised the necklace for me and gave the specific measurement in mm, but I'm not trusting my memory.
