countrygirl422 @lifefornursing Thanks! For me it was just a natural switch. I'm a firefighter/EMT right now and I'm so good at medical that nursing just feels perfect.

countrygirl422 @lifefornursing My advisor said that the CNA pre-requisite is on a case by case requirement. The training that EMTs receive from our medical program director in my county is quite a bit more than CNAs receive so if a student has taken an EMT course through the school already and has been an EMT for at least a year the pre-req is waived. My advisor was even talking about being able to waive my first A&P required class if I am able to take the test that would be given at the end of the class and pass it.

countrygirl422 @barlets01 Thanks! I'm already a firefighter/EMT so everyone that I've talked to from the school know that I will be able to handle the coursework as well as the job itself.
