Could this be a winter coat? How warm or
thick is the insulation?

@brandy5185 Depends where you live. I wore it last year as a winter coat in PA, walking between car and house and until like early Dec in NYC. When you are walking a lot you don't get overheated as easily as you would in a heavier coat. Your activity level when outside and the layers you wear underneath make it an incredibly versatile coat. I just bought another in a Medium after finally getting back down to my normal size post baby. This is one of my all time favorite coats.
