This actually happens a lot now which is horrible! Sellers are now taking photos of the item in perfect condition in the shipping box before shipping to have evidence that it left there home in perfect condition. This has worked in cases where the buyer purposely damaged the item to return it, the seller just sent posh the evidence on her end and she won.
She should definitely fight it and also if show the listing photos to posh, where was the item damaged? Because she could have proof that the buyer did it by the very photos she posted (example, the front of the shirt is flawless in the listing photos and the buy sends posh a photo of a giant rip in the front of the shirt saying it came that way).
I hope this helps a little, sometimes I make no sense when I talk <3 I wish your friend luck and make sure she never stops fighting!

@i wondered about this myself. I would contact poshmark and report it. Please let us know what happens I'm curious how this will be handled???

@blue_bee thanks so much! Yes I believe she said she reported the issue to poshmark but she has not been asked for evidence. Unfortunately she's new which is why I feel so bad. She also only posted one picture but she said she took more since she had just posted the item and was about to add more pictures when the item was bought before she could. It's a really tough situation and I feel really bad since she is new and I'm new and now I'm really scared of this happening to me.

@anlisac me too!! I will be very disappointed if poshmark doesn't protect the seller. I will get in touch with her and definitely let you know how poshmark handles it

@celly_soriano she should definitely photograph the item showing the date she ships it to prove it was not damaged prior to shipping.

@celly_soriano Thank you so much for your post. I have been in since July and things have been going along pretty good. I made a silly mistake in January. I had 3 packages to send out to 3 different POSHMARKERS all in the same day. In error I sent all 3 items to one person. Once I discovered what I have done, I contacted the person who I sent them to. She was really nice and offered to return them to back to me. I even offered to send her the money for the shipping. One week went by and then another and another. I tried to contact her several times, but nothing. I finally told her that I contacted PoshMark, which I did, she finally contacted me and left me a nasty message. Her response was that she will sent them when she gets around it. That was 2 1/2 months ago and I still have not received the items. I did realize it was my error, but come on, she has stole my items. I did contact PoshMark, but they could not help me out because it was my mistake. I have learned my lesson. So I hope that your fellow PoshMarker can get some satisfaction. So thank you so much for sharing. 😍😍😍👍👍

@jhelpa01 I am so sorry to hear that! I have heard many awful stories. I've wanted to share who the person is but she doesn't want to for the same reason that the buyer harassed her with nasty messages too. Poshmark has not done anything about all the nasty messages either. Thanks for sharing!
