Every year the U.S. throws away 26 BILLION pounds of clothing and textiles. That equates to roughly 81 pounds per person. In this country we see new as more valuable than old, when in reality machining quality and fiber strength was much better in previous decades. I have personally saved 500+ lbs (1200 now!!!) in the last year but I can not keep it all. Please help to preserve the beautiful history of generations past. 💕

@samwebber thanks for all the shares! But yeah it’s a really amazing documentary. It definitely caused me to be more conscious of my clothing consumption, especially in a fast fashion clothing industry such as ours here in the U.S.. I rarely buy new clothes and more because of it!
