Collection piece of Henriot Quimper c1970 soup tureen in a decor #465 that leverages colors of Fleuri Royal, yet is no longer in production. Gorgeous statement piece or centerpiece to serve soup, vegetables or stews. Never used - kept wrapped in tissue paper when purchased in 1970s to collect.
Glossy finish that demonstrates that grand feu and faience blanche techniques that bring out the white and colorful red, blue and green glossy colors on the flowers and coq. This pattern is well known for its French Country art style, readily recognizable to many collectors of faience pottery that has been produced by Quimper since the 17th century.
Pottery marks show this unique piece was made in the Grande Maison, de la Hubaudière or the HB factory c1970.
