Henry Bursztynowicz Iron Horse Sculpture

7.5" to the top of the head. 7.5" from the nose to the tail. Bursztynowicz was a local Pennsylvania sculptor around the height of the abstract expressionist movement and the pop art movement. Bursztynowicz received his education from the Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University), the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan and Instituto d’Arte, Florence, Italy. He was a faculty member at the University of Missouri and he taught at Pittsburgh Arts and Crafts Center (now Pittsburgh Center for the Arts). Pittsburgh Center for the Arts honored Henry Bursztynowicz with a retrospective of his works in 2009.
