Palms, fleurs-de-lis and animals now bring gates, doors and fountains to life, inspired by the lion's head door-knocker from the Emile Hermès collection, which Caty Latham has placed at the center of her composition. And when a silk ribbon is entwined around the finely printed metalwork, the metal seems to gracefully dance. Reinterpreted with a tie-dye effect, the design, which was first released in 1970, is now more contemporary than ever. Evoking moments spent in the sun, the tie and dye technique gives a new light to Caty Latham's Ferronnerie design. Ornaments of wrought ironwork, acanthus, fleur-de-lys and animals dance on a wash silk that gives this scarf a vintage touch.
