Hermes Hippo Cadena Bag Charm / AUTHENTIC

This is one of the most adorable bag charms I have ever seen! This little guy has been sleeping inside my pocketbook closet for 20 years! I fell in love with this little hippo in 2005 at an Hermes Boutique. On his side is an engraving ANNEE DES FLEUVES which translates to The Year of The River. Inspired by natures flow, Hermes designated 2005 as The Year of The River. That is how a hippo fits into the story as the name hippopotamus means "river horse" and is the dominant river mammal species in African and Asian continents. This little hippo was used maybe twice. It has very minor, nearly invisible scratching that appears to be from the fuzzy interior of the box. The hippo is 1.5" tall and 1.4" wide and plated in silver. The Hermes logo is stamped clearly on the arm of the lock. The hippo will arrive to you as shown, complete with original box and special 2005 Hermes ribbon
