herman_thecrab1 Painted shells are toxic I know you don’t mean bad but paint is toxic for hermit crabs and kill them not only that but painted shells are ugly and toxic

michellew121 @herman_thecrab1 the reason why I'm getting rid of them! also, the crabs do not put themselves in the shell. the crabs are forced into the shell to sell them. however, they are good for other things other than pants for crabs. such as crafts, pretty in a vase.

cl0set_clearout Oh no!! Painted shells are toxic and very dangerous to hermit crabs. So is calcium sand. The substrate should be part play sand and part coco fiber. Please do some more research!!!
