Hermès Philippe LeDoux Menège Vintage Silk Equestrian Scarf, 1974

From the French fashion house, Hermès, a vintage silk scarf from the Manège line, circa 1974. Designed by Philippe Ledoux for Hermès in 1974, this an early vintage of a classic issue, showing the early copyright signature. Boldly colored in Burgundy, a deep yellow ochre and creamy white, and with the Equestrian theme Hermes does best. The central image shows an indoor horse and rider training scene, with a running border of rider on their horses. The four corners show a geometric pattern of equestrian related hardware. Measures 34 inches square. Care Tag, Signed, with a hand rolled hem – Made in France of 100% silk twill. Excellent vintage condition – showing the expected light spotting.
