Highly Collectible Vintage English Horse Brass

Multiple uses including tree ornaments, place cards, gift wrap embellishment. Traditionally made of brass, horse brasses come in a variety of shapes & sizes.Started in Britain working horses had their leather harnesses embellished w/ a horse brass which identified owner. In the 16th century, designs were hammered onto brass; since the 1870's the designs are die-stamped into sheets of brass. They are now considered highly collectible.
