She has directed a rural craft cooperative, was nominated for the Ladies Home Journal "Women of the Year 1975" Award, and ran three marathons--Atlanta, New York City, and Marine Corps--after she was fifty. A ceramic sculptor living in Huntington, West Virginia, she is one of three 2013 winners of the Tamarack Fellowhip awards, being recognized for sculpture and writing.</p>
