No, it is not metallic the title of the bag vintage hide describes the character of the leather that they are featuring in this bag. It doesn’t look vintage it doesn’t look aged, or distressed.

@weirdtraffic The pictures of this bag were taken by the original owner and the width of the bag is only 2 inches or so front and back so no, it doesn’t stand up on its own
