Holly Hobbie (born Denise Holly Ulinskas) is an American writer and illustrator and the name of a fictional character that she created in the 1960's - originally called "Blue Girl"
Though the brand has had several popularity spikes over the years since, the roman numerals MCMLXXIV on the bottom indicate that this trinket dish is from the original 1974 launch of the Holly Hobbie rag doll by the Knickerbocker Toy company and with her, the licensed products including ceramics, fabrics and stationery became very popular for young American girls for several years.
This looks like her friend Carrie in her iconic red hat with the phrase: "Gather a Bouquet of nice things each day"
The back has HOLLY HOBBIE (r) GENUINE PORCELAIN
