Homemade linen skirt/harem pants (short lenght)

I sewed this skirt that "converts to harem pants" by buttoning at the bottom. The patten was from a Japanese style patterns book. It is too short for me at about 30 inches from top to bottom. I tried wearing it a few times but didn't like the length for my height. They are made of a black linen fabric with a drawstring in the waist as well as elastic. The waist fits like a women's small or medium depending how high you wear it.
