Old original roof slate from Kawaiahaʻo Church in Honolulu, Hawaii. This church was established under Kuhina Nui (Queen-Regent) Kaʻahumanu I in the year 1820.
About the artist:
Hand chiseled by Scott Kekuhaupiʻo Manley created in Nāʻālehu, Big Island, Hawaii. Nāʻālehu is Hawaiian for "the volcanic ashes". It is one of the southernmost communities in the 50 states of the United States.
