How to correctly & incorrectly measurer the rise

In the 1st photo, measuring tape is placed correctly to measure the rise. It’s starting place is at the crotch seam that is unseen while you are wearing the pants, as that upside-down horseshoe crotch-seam disappears between your legs. Measuring up from there never blocks the seam from customers view. 2nd & 3rd photos are incorrect, they include part of the rear-end.
