Just thought I'd share a bit of insight that I found on the web about how to spot a fake Lulu. These are a FEW ways, but please do your own research before buying (or accidentally selling) online. The only way to truly know if you are buying authentic, is by buying directly from thier store or ONE website (there are hundreds of fake websites). Look at the shape of the OM, look at the labels! seawitch6177 You should clarify that the “I belong to” in and of itself is NOT indicative of a fake garment and are found on plenty of authentic, older Lululemon, INCLUDING Wunder Unders. Buying from Lululemon directly is not the only way to buy authentic, and there are hundreds of styles that are no longer sold at any of their stores or online, since they intentionally produce at limited quantity. There are several Lululemon authenticators here on Posh.

sugarswap @seawitch6177 Thanks for adding that. There is much more to say about this, but the listing limits my words. I did say for people to do thier own research, so they can make thier own judgment call. As far as authentication goes, PM has asked me to authenticate LL as well as other brands I no nothing about, so I'm not sure how much value there is in PM's authentication.

kristiromo @sugarswap LL asked alot of people to authenticate their stuff for them for free w/o knowing if they are knowledgable or not. They should hire and pay their own people. So many fakes on LL and Posh doesn't seem to care. I've been reporting but it's worthless.

sugarswap @kristiromo I think when someone reports it, they just ask another posher to verify... it's a super shotty way and I would say, buying LL used or online from anywhere but the official website, is always going to be a gamble. I just bought a pair of fast n free's... and am crossing my fingers! Some fakes are obvious to me now, especially the hoodies. I just spend hours in the LL store trying to get to know all the real pants. Have you been duped??

kristiromo @sugarswap Yes bought a new fake pair of Align on here. Reported to Posh 2 mos ago but Posh still hasn't taken them down. Didn't realize there are fake sellers on here. Now trying to warn others but so many popping up nitely. So disheartening to see people being dupped daily. I won't buy anything expensive on Posh because I think they haven't serve us well.

sugarswap @chandanareddy Unfortunately, this site won't let me click on the links. BUT.. you can check out lulufanatics dot com to see pics of every pair they've ever made. The "flow" crops should have raunching from what I can tell, but they could have also been mismarked in the listing. I've noticed a lot of sellers aren't really sure of the different styles and will often call something by the wrong name. (That's how I've picked up some really good deals on FastandFree).

sugarswap @chandanareddy Anyways, a big way to tell if you got a fake is the actual fabric and quality. Lulu has the highest quality and they don't sell things with wonky stitching. If it feels good and looks good, then it's probably a lulu. If it feels cheap or looks cheap, (like something you buy at a big-band store), then it's probably fake.

sugarswap @chandanareddy Some of the lulu legging have the size dot on the leg, like fast and free. A missing size dot does not necessarily mean fake either. Not all thier clothes have had dots.

karacarrscloset Poshmark has made well over 200 million off of buys and sellers like us. It frustrates me so much that it’s so difficult to communicate with “customer service”. And not to mention they ask us to go through their reported items for them when they have no idea if we are qualified. They made this app and are just collecting millions and just leave it up to us to figure everything out. Ugh rant over lol

leela2020 Ughhh. I’m pretty sure now I’ve picked up two fake strides at Goodwill. I had NO idea Lululemon could be faked. Thank you for posting this info. After I posted one someone very kindly pointed out it was a very common fake 🤦🏻‍♀️. So this may be something I steer clear of going forward. Lululemon is not in my wheelhouse. Thanks for your post.

flowersthreads Thank you for sharing this! My advice is if you find a website out there, call lululemon and verify that they know about it. Because if they do not, there is no way that they could be getting new with tags lulu, unless it is a fake. But for used lulu websites such as poshmark, you will just have to look very hard.

jingi10 OMH they sell fake Lululemon now 😳 That’s what they get I guess for outsourcing to China. It’s funny I was looking at some of my old Lulu & they say made in CA but now they make in China & I think the quality has gone down vastly but I didn’t even know they made fake. I buy all mine on their site, they don’t sell fake in the site it stores. I would be carful now though buying new from anyone else. Thanks for sharing 👍💕
