Huge SIMON PEARCE DOVER BOWL / 12.5 Inches Wide / 10 Pounds Of Crystal / Rare

Simon Pearce was born in London and moved to Ireland at age 4 where his family started a pottery studio. Pearce mastered pottery but decided to travel the globe and learn how to make high quality glassware from some of the world’s masters. He opened his first glass studio in Ireland but was eventually disenchanted with all the government interference so he relocated to Vermont in 1981. For over 40 years, Simon Pearce has been producing the finest quality lead-free crystal glassware in the United States. Pearce creations have been given as gifts to visiting foreign dignitaries as well as to presenters at the Academy Awards. Simon Pearce produced the Dover pattern of glassware from 2008-2021 and finding anything for sale is a rare occurrence. I have not been able to find another example of this enormous bowl anywhere on the internet. It measures 12.5 inches wide by 5.5 inches tall and weighs a whopping 10 pounds. It is in very good used condition with just a few light scratches (see photo). The Simon Pearce logo is acid etched on the bottom near the four-point cloverleaf pontil mark which is a Simon Pearce trademark.
